MRI (radiation-free imaging of brain, spine, joints and soft tissue, including breast MRI where indicated) is part of our planned service. Medicare rebates for MRI depend on the specific item and referrer criteria on a Medicare-licensed scanner. Contact us to confirm availability and eligibility for your patient.
Coming first half 2027
Mammography and breast imaging — diagnostic mammography (with tomosynthesis), breast ultrasound and image-guided breast procedures for symptomatic or referred patients. This is distinct from BreastScreen Australia’s free population screening for well, asymptomatic women. Female staff perform mammography and a female sonographer is available on request.

A valid request from a Medicare-recognised practitioner is required for a rebate. GPs and specialists may refer for the full range of services; dentists, chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists and podiatrists may refer for defined items. A GP referral is generally valid for 12 months unless your patient’s circumstances indicate otherwise.
Most plain X-ray, ultrasound and CT services are bulk billed for eligible patients. Some services — including certain MRI scans, obstetric ultrasound and interventional procedures — may attract an out-of-pocket (gap) fee or may not attract a Medicare rebate. Item eligibility (particularly for MRI) depends on the specific MBS item and referrer type. We are happy to confirm eligibility and cost for any request — please call us.
